Grads
So you're graduating?!
What should I wear?
I am so glad you asked! Ultimately, you should wear whatever you feel comfortable in. However, light colored outfits work better for a timeless grad look. Another reason to wear lighter colors is that it will help your graduation gown and other regalia stand out! Try an avoid busy patterns as this may conflict with the background. A lot of the outfits I usually see are white dresses and black dress pants with a light colored shirt. A secondary outfit is optional as well! This could be something more personal, bold or intentional.
What can I bring to my shoot?
Feel free to bring anything important or symbolic of your educational journey! Collegiate apparel, pendants, signs, pets, you name it and its probably okay! (Please bring your pets, that would actually make me so happy!!) If you have any concerns, feel free to run the idea by me before our shoot.
Where can I do my grad shoot?
There are two options! The first is that we can shoot on campus at traditional locations specific to your University. Another option is to shoot at a location of your choice. Maybe you know of a really cute flower field or park. It is your choice. Please note in your booking what location you are considering.
What if it rains?
If it is raining on the day of your shoot we will try and reschedule for another date! If we are unable to reschedule, you will receive your deposit back in full.
When will I get my images?
You should expect your images within 2 weeks. Busy season may result in slightly longer wait times.
How many images will I get?
This depends on which package you choose! Keep in mind this is just an estimate, and I am a notorious over-shooter. You may receive more images than this. ALSO, you will be able to choose which images will be edited and displayed in your final gallery. These images will be delivered in an online gallery. You will be able to download and share these full resolution images with all your family and friends!
When is the best time to schedule a shoot?
I recommend scheduling a shoot for the early morning or evening time. This way the lighting is not as harsh and it's not as hot! Also, I suggest you not wait until the last minute to book your shoot. The last few weeks before graduation tend to be very hectic and traditional spots are very crowded.
Can I bring family members or friends?
Absolutely! Please keep in mind that photos with other people will take up part of your time slot. Also, you may not bring another grad unless you sign up for a group grad session.
